About this Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the LimitLine Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses LimitLine. You must be 18 or older and may not get around the age confirmation or the acceptance of legal documents.
C1. Use LimitLine only where you are allowed
You must have permission and legal authority for the land, people, contacts, photos, records and services you put into or use through LimitLine.
- Do not use maps, parcel lines, routes or location features to trespass, get around access restrictions, harass, stalk, watch or endanger anyone.
- Do not claim that a parcel line, owner record, AI answer, stand suggestion or workspace role proves ownership, legal access, licensing, insurance, compliance or that someone was present.
- Do not upload another person's precise location, contact details, image or private records without a lawful basis and their consent where required.
C2. Owner names and addresses
On eligible plans, parcel cards can show owner names and addresses from public records (Privacy Policy, section B7). This section applies to that information and to owner information you obtain elsewhere and bring into LimitLine.
Owner names and addresses may be used only for respectful, good-faith, individual requests for permission to access or hunt land, or to understand who owns land you are considering. You may not use them:
• to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, shame, follow or watch anyone, or to find where a person lives or spends time rather than who owns a piece of land;
• to keep contacting someone after they have asked you to stop, or to go to their home or land after being told not to;
• to enter, hunt or stay on land without permission, or to claim that an owner record gives you permission;
• for marketing, sales, solicitation, fundraising, debt collection, skip tracing or any other commercial outreach;
• for bulk or automated lookups, mailing, scraping, copying or data extraction, including by using several accounts or by getting around lookup limits or hidden records;
• to build a list, database, profile or product, to combine owner details with other information to profile a person, or to publish or share them elsewhere, including on social media;
• to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, a government license or benefit, or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act; or
• for identity theft, fraud, or to locate a person for any purpose the law forbids, including getting around an address-confidentiality program, a protective order or a protected-address law.
If an owner asks you not to contact them, stop. If you think a record should be hidden, tell us at support@limitline.app.
C3. Illegal, dangerous and abusive conduct
Do not use LimitLine to plan or carry out poaching, unlawful hunting, trespass, fraud, threats, violence, discrimination, exploitation or unsafe commercial activity, or to break wildlife, weapons, land-use, privacy, communications or consumer-protection laws.
- Never use Field Check-ins to make a false emergency report or to send unwanted messages.
- Never use professional workspaces to misrepresent prices, availability, refunds, credentials, or the identity of a guide, outfitter, club or client.
- Never upload malware, hateful or abusive content, intimate images without consent, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
C4. Keep the Service and accounts secure and fair
Do not:
- get around access controls, paywalls, usage limits, owner-lookup limits, hidden records or rate limits;
- scrape, crawl, bulk-download or export parcel, owner or other restricted data, or use bots or automation except through features we provide;
- probe, scan or test our systems for weaknesses without our written permission (report security issues to support@limitline.app instead);
- share your sign-in, sell or transfer accounts, or create accounts automatically;
- create multiple accounts or use other people's cards to get more free trials;
- interfere with other workspaces, overload providers, or reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows despite this rule.
C5. Professional responsibilities
Clubs, guides and outfitters remain responsible for their own licenses, insurance, permissions, client contracts, waivers, taxes, refunds, employment practices, communications consent, safety plans and records.
C6. Reporting and enforcement
Report abuse, harassment, misuse of owner information, infringement, privacy problems or unsafe use to support@limitline.app. Anyone, including a landowner, can ask us to hide owner details on a parcel card (Privacy Policy, section B7). Do not use email for emergencies.
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break this Policy, using the least restrictive step that reasonably addresses the problem. We will give notice and a chance to respond through support when practical, and may act immediately to prevent real harm. We may preserve evidence and cooperate with law enforcement where the law allows.
C7. The LimitLine Assistant
The LimitLine Assistant is for hunting, your field notes and other LimitLine records, and how to use LimitLine, and it declines other topics. We may limit or turn off the assistant for an account that breaks these rules (section C6). When you use it:
- Do not ask it to help you break hunting, wildlife, weapons, trespass or other laws, hurt people or harm animals unlawfully, or get around its safety or topic limits.
- Do not enter passwords, payment card numbers, government ID numbers, health information, or other people's personal information that your question does not need.
- Do not try to get its instructions, other users' information or our credentials, or to make it ignore its rules.
- Do not use scripts, bots, several accounts or several workspaces to get around its usage limits, and do not overload it.
- Do not present its answers to others as professional, legal or safety advice, or as facts LimitLine has checked.
