D1. LimitLine is not an emergency service
In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. LimitLine does not monitor trips, contact emergency services, dispatch help, guarantee rescue, or give medical advice. Do not rely on LimitLine to summon help, deliver an urgent message, track someone continuously, or confirm that someone is safe.
LimitLine currently has no approved push-notification, text-message or safety-email delivery for Field Check-ins. Unless a later version of this Notice names an enabled, tested delivery channel, assume nobody will be alerted automatically.
D2. Field Check-ins
A Field Check-in is a plan and record you create: an expected return time, contacts you choose, and location captures you make. A contact must accept before they can see your check-ins. A check-in can be late or missing because of a missed step, a dead battery, no signal, device settings, clock errors or a provider failure.
A late or missing check-in does not prove someone is in trouble, and a recent one does not prove they are safe. You and your contacts need your own plan for when and how to act.
D3. Party locations
Party-map locations are points someone chose to share at a moment in time, not live or background tracking. Check the time shown on each point. Do not assume an old point shows where someone is now or where they went.
D4. Maps, parcel lines, routes and weather
Parcel lines are not surveys and do not show where you may legally go. Owner details on a parcel card are public records that may be outdated; they are not permission to enter. Suggested routes and stand options may miss houses, roads, fences, water, cliffs, restricted areas, other people, weather changes and ground conditions. Weather and radar may be delayed or unavailable. Map and analysis output is planning context, not a safety rating or an instruction to enter an area.
D5. AI answers, models and records
- LimitLine Assistant answers and draft tasks may be wrong, incomplete or invented. Never rely on them for safety, legal, medical or firearm decisions, and confirm seasons and rules with the responsible agency. The assistant is not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 911.
- Movement models and stand suggestions are estimates, not guarantees of animal movement or safe or legal access.
- Shot & Recovery records what you enter. It is not ballistics, shot-placement or blood-trailing advice and does not predict a hit or recovery. Follow firearm and archery safety rules and the law.
- Pressure records are past observations users recorded, not live activity.
- Compliance links are not legal advice. Confirm rules with the responsible agency.
D6. Your independent safety plan
- Tell a trusted person where you are going and when to call for help, even if LimitLine is not working.
- Carry navigation, power, communication, weather protection, water, first aid and emergency equipment suited to the trip. In remote areas, consider a dedicated satellite messenger or personal locator beacon.
- Know your firearm or bow and follow the rules of safe handling. Use a fall-arrest harness in tree stands. Wear blaze orange where required or wise.
- Get landowner permission and confirm boundaries on the ground.
- Check current weather, fire conditions, daylight and water levels from official sources.
